Our Story
From conflict to coexistence
Our work began in Nepal’s Western Terai with a simple question: how can fishing cats survive when the people living beside them are also trying to protect their livelihoods?
Since 2020, we have worked directly with fish farmers, women, local communities, conservationists and government partners to turn conflict into cooperation. What started as field-based fishing cat conservation has grown into a community-led approach connecting species protection, wetland conservation and local livelihoods.
Today, our work combines research with practical action from Fish Banks and community conservation funds to women-led livelihoods, guardian networks, habitat restoration and long-term monitoring.

Our Approach
Conservation works when people and wildlife can thrive together.
